Studies have found that vape mist containing nicotine causes the release of dopamine in the brain, which gives people a good feeling, dopamine concentrations in the nucleus accumbens part of the brain, triggers the key motivation and reward centre in the brain.

Supplements
Certain vitamins and supplements have been found to improve dopamine. Always check with your health provider if you are interested in trying supplements. I have suggested that where possible that you have 3 hugs a day with someone you emotionally care for or are close to. These hugs should last for 11 seconds each. In many cases it is believed that this positive touching may release the chemical dopamine in the brain thus enhancing your feeling of wellbeing.

A number of vitamins are purported to assist in overcoming low levels of dopamine and high stress levels.

You should consult your physician or health expert regarding this type of vitamins and minerals to meet your specific needs to overcome cravings and tobacco dependence. Do not take any vitamins, minerals, or supplements without consulting your doctor or other health practitioner.

Cut down coffee and alcohol this will be help you maintain control and lessen triggers for nicotine craving. Do not vape, chew nicotine gum, or use nicotine patches, nasal spray, nicotine inhaler, nicotine lozenges, unless specifically advised by a medical practitioner. You have undergone hypnotherapy to overcome vaping addiction this is an alternative therapy that does not involve you taking medication. Your medical practitioner may advise other methods, you need to adhere to this expert advice, your Hypnotherapist is happy to consult with your Medical Practitioner to develop a positive outcome for you.

Drinking lots of clean bottled water will flush the toxins and poisons form the body. After three days the nicotine will be gone from your body.

As the nicotine leaves the system, the sugar levels may also drop, this can trigger a craving for nicotine. Be mindful of this situation. It may explain why persons who have quit vaping desire sweet things of extra food. The hypnotic therapy you have undergone has addressed this phenomenon although the desires may still pervade. Using the EFT or taping exercise and other tools taught to you are an ideal way of dealing with this sugar or food craving. These feeling often only last for only four days.

EFT is powerful tool, used properly you will be able to overcome the issues of craving. Low nicotine levels first thing in the morning are the reason that 52% of smokers light up first thing in the morning, vapers often vape all day long. Understanding this and taking due care during this time empowers you to overcome this issue.

Because vaping in many cases is a nervous habit, the nicotine gives a feeling of settling the nerves. The fact is that vaping nicotine increases the blood pressure and heart rate. Vaping has the opposite effect and increases stress. Should you feel stressed then EFT take an inner calmness approach is an ideal strategy.

The main causes of death attributable to vaping are: lung injury (EVALI). Vaping can make you more likely to get asthma and other lung conditions, including lung scarring and “Popcorn lung” which is another name for bronchiolitis obliterans. Popcorn lung has no lasting treatment. Vaping can also cause organ damage, addiction, second-hand exposure, a pathway to cigarette smoking and explosions.

Vapes, or electronic cigarettes, harmful chemicals that can pose health risks. These include:

  • 1. Nicotine: Nicotine can lead to addiction and has adverse effects on brain development, particularly in adolescents and young adults.
  • 2. Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG): These are used as carriers for nicotine and flavourings in e-liquids.
  • 3. Flavourings: Many e-liquids contain flavourings. Some of these flavourings may contain harmful compounds, which have been linked to serious lung diseases like bronchiolitis obliterans, also known as “popcorn lung.”
  • 4. Formaldehyde: A poison
  • 5. Acetaldehyde and Acrolein: These are toxic chemicals formed during the vaping process.
  • 6. Heavy Metals: Vape devices, can release small amounts of heavy metals like lead, nickel, and chromium, these are toxic when inhaled.
  • 7. Ultrafine Particles: Ultrafine particles that can penetrate deep into the lungs and may cause inflammation and other health issues.

It is essential to note that the long-term health effects of vaping are still not fully understood, and research is ongoing. However, it is clear that vaping is not harmless and can have serious health implications, particularly for young people and non-smokers who take up vaping.

Strategies you can use to deal with vape nicotine cravings

Should you experience cravings when quitting then the following strategies can be used.

Engage in other activities.

Reward yourself regularly. Make goals to deal with the smoking issue and cravings and reward yourself with things that are important to you on each occasion that you meet your goals.

Use harmless smoking substitutes (e.g., holding a straw, slice of carrot, or a cinnamon stick gives the impression of holding an item like a cigarette.)

Get back on track if you slip. Do the tapping (EFT), take a sip or cold water, do the deep breathing techniques. Remember, being a non-vaper is new you. You haven’t merely stopped vaping. Use the philosophy that YOU ARE NOW A NON-VAPER.

Tips on being a non-vaper:

Drink Water. This will help to quickly flush the nicotine and other chemicals out of your system. Try using a straw that is the same size as a cigarette.

Breathe. Take one deep breath in through the nose, hold it for a count of 4 and release it through the mouth slowly. Concentrate on breathing clean air.

Do something different. During the times that you normally smoke, try new activities such as going for a walk, vacuum the house, washing dishes right after dinner or learn a new hobby.

Make a list of why you want to quit and post it in a spot where it will remind you of this important decision.

Concentrate on what life will be like when you are vape-free. You will be able to breathe easier, you will not smell of vape flavourings and your heart will be healthier.

Further tips on being a non-vaper

Tell your friends and family that you are a no-vaper and tell them you need their support and encouragement. Find that quit buddy who wants to cease vaping as well. You can help each other get through the rough times.

Anticipate and plan for the challenges you’ll face while a non-smoker. Most people who begin vaping again do so within the first three months. You can help yourself make it through by preparing ahead for common challenges, such as nicotine withdrawal and vape flavouring cravings.

Remove vaping and any tobacco and nicotine products from your home, car, and work. Throw away all your e-cigarettes, vape products flavourings and by products. Wash your clothes and freshen up anything that smells like vape smell. Clean your car drapes, and carpet.

Remember all the reasons why you have become a no-vaper!

  • Feeling great
  • Reduced health risks
  • Extra money in your pocket.
  • Improved breathing and general fitness
  • Fresher breath and cleaner feeling in throat
  • An improved sense of smell and taste
  • Less stress and anxiety
  • Cleaner lungs and a stronger heart

Alfred is wonderful. I saw him for weight loss and he helped me with so much more than that. In four weeks I lost over 7kg, have changed my relationship with food and exercise, have a clearer mind, feelmuch happier, and have let go of some anger I didn't realise I was still holding on to. I have now recommended many of my friends and family because this therapy is truly amazing. Thank you for changing my life, Alfred!
